Kate Nash selling butt pictures on OnlyFans to help with tour costs
Noughties pop star Kate Nash has taken an unconventional route to raising funds for her tour, as she’s become the latest celebrity to join OnlyFans.
Kate, 37, has openly stated that ‘touring makes losses, not profits,’ leading to her selling butt pics on the adult subscription site.
The Foundations hitmaker has always spoken up for her musician community, including being one of many bands and artists facing difficulties in sustaining careers right now.
Deciding enough is enough and taking matters into her hands, the songwriter has now launched her OnlyFans campaign, Butts For Tour Buses.
She said: ‘Whilst touring is the best job ever, it is currently technically what you might call a passion project for a lot of artists in 2024.
‘A recent survey by Pirate Studios found that whilst gig ticket and festival prices are skyrocketing and we are seeing a select few in the industry become millionaires or even billionaires from touring, the majority of musicians and artists are struggling to be able to afford to actually play shows.
‘Costs of travel, accommodation, food, promotion, and employees have also gone up in price, but musicians are not seeing changes in their gig fees to help pay for all these rising costs.’
On what she’s doing about it, Kate explained: ‘So this Christmas I’m asking that you buy either a piece of my merch or my a**e on my new OnlyFans account, katenyash87, to support me paying great wages and putting on a high-quality show as I will not sacrifice either of things.’
The singer joked that there is ‘no need to stream [her] music’ as she’s ‘good for the 0.003 of a penny per stream’.
Kate kicks off her UK and EU tour tonight at Glasgow’s Oran Mor and plays a sold-out show KOKO on December 28 as well as Brighton, Dublin, and more.
She vows to offer fans ‘an unforgettable and immersive celebration of music and community magic’ at her live gigs, which follow the release of Kate’s recent album, 9 Sad Symphonies.
The star has spoken openly about her financial struggles in the past and expressed concerns that the music industry is shutting out working class artists to become a ‘rich people space’.
Skeleton Song musician Kate, who also appeared topless in Netflix series Glow, previously admitted she ‘trusted the wrong people’ with her finances.
She told The Guardian of her dip in fame and success after Foundations: ‘I’d trusted the wrong people with my money, which meant I had to sell my flat and move back in with my parents.
‘I’d worked so hard and had nothing to show for it. The worst part was that I knew I wasn’t going to give up.
‘I briefly thought I should become a teacher instead, but then I realised, “How are you going to do that? You don’t even have a degree because you didn’t get into any universities.”
‘Having this career is about fighting your way through it.’
She’s far from the only celeb to have joined OnlyFans in recent years, as it’s now full of celebrities and TV personalities, from Kerry Katona and Katie Price to Lily Allen.
Kerry has racked up millions on the site with her saucy snaps, while Lily sells feet pics in a lucrative side hustle.
Meanwhile, Cardi B, Bella Thorne, Blac Chyna, Iggy Azalea, Carmen Electra, Lottie Moss, and Tana Mongeau all sell their explicit content.
As for male celebs, Tyga also gives fans exclusive access via OnlyFans by charging for behind-the-scenes snaps and previews of unreleased material.
