I went on US Aer Lingus flight – and rated all the food out of ten, one of the items left me confused
A PASSENGER has told how she flew with Aer Lingus and rated everything she consumed during the flight – and one of the items left her confused.
When travelling transatlantic with the airline, food is included in your ticket so you won’t go hungry.
Alix Weld, who posts on TikTok under @www.alix.commm, shared her honest review of the food she received on a flight to Boston.
The first round was a complimentary drink with Penn State Baked Pretzels to keep passengers going while they waited for their main meal.
Alix went for a can of Sprite to have with her pretzels, which was a “strong start” for her flight, as she rated it 8 out of 10.
She enjoyed her little snack while watching some entertainment on the screen before the flight attendant served her a delicious lunch.
Her lunch consisted of coleslaw salad, sweet and sour chicken, water in a tub, brown bread with butter and passion fruit mousse.
She first tried the coleslaw salad, which was “actually not too bad” but was not her favourite, as she rated it 6 out of 10.
Moving on, Alix tried her main meal which had rice, peas, sweet and sour sauce with fresh chicken.
She mentioned that it was “surprisingly delicious” as she continued to enjoy the rest of her meal on the flight.
She rated the delicious main meal 9 out of 10.
However, she was left confused by her drink in the meal as it was water in a plastic tub, which “doesn’t seem right” to her.
Continuing on, she had some brown bread with some butter, but it wasn’t pleasant to have on the flight.
Alix struggled to eat the “world’s dryest brown bread” as she needed to drink some water to digest the bread properly and rated it 3 out of 10.
Lastly, the last item for her lunch meal was passion fruit mousse and she wasn’t a fan.
Alix rated it -1000 out of 10, the most disliked item on the whole flight.
Before the plane made the descent into Boston, Alix was served a snack box with coffee, which had a delicious turkey sandwich to fuel their adventures in the city.
She rated the last round 10 out of 10, the perfect meal to end her long journey to Boston.
