BTS’s Kim Seokjin, also known as Jin, has been making headlines since his discharge from the military in June. From appearing on various variety shows to releasing new music, the eldest member of the K-pop sensation is keeping his millions of fans captivated. Adding to the excitement, reports suggest that Jin is set to make a guest appearance on an upcoming outdoor variety show.
On October 28, Korean news outlet Star News stated that the shooting schedule for PD Ryu Ho Jin’s new K-food show Handsome Guys has started, and they have been filming at various locations around Busan. Lee Yi Kyung, Cha Tae Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Kim Dong Hyun, and Oh Sang Wook are the regular cast members of the upcoming show. Moreover, BTS Jin has been confirmed as the guest in the show’s first episode.
After the report was released, tvN, the channel on which the show will air, shared a statement. “PD Ryu Ho Jin will be launching the new program ‘Handsome Guys’ featuring fixed cast members Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Dong Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung, Shin Seung Ho, and Oh Sanguk. BTS’s Jin will join as the guest for the first episode,” they said. Sharing that they would reveal more details about the show in due course of time, the channel added, “We ask for your understanding as we cannot disclose specific details such as filming locations or schedules to ensure the safety and smooth progress of filming. Further details about the program will be shared in due course.”
Handsome Guys (previously named Hall of Fame) will reportedly air on tvN from December 1. The variety show, directed by PD Ryo Ho Jin, will feature six members (five fixed cast members and one guest) who will embark on a journey all over South Korea to discover unique local food. This will be Jin’s third variety show appearance since his military discharge. Earlier, he was seen in Run Jin followed by a guest appearance on MBC’s The Half Star Hotel in Lost Island.
Speaking of Jin’s music career, the 31-year-old K-pop singer is all set to release his first solo album, Happy, in November. Before the release, he dropped the pre-release single I’ll Be There, which has already become popular among his fans. Furthermore, he also released an extended version of Super Tuna earlier this month. The original song was released in December 2021 to mark the singer’s birthday.
