Tripadvisor has announced its first Travelers’ Choice Awards category for 2026, revealing the Best of the Best Destinations based on millions of reviews and ratings from its global community of travelers.
While plenty of familiar places sit atop the list, there’s been considerable movement this year. What’s more, Tripadvisor has zeroed in on the best destinations based on type of travel, uncovering the top places for solo travel, food, culture and even honeymoons in the year ahead.
There are also a handful of trending destinations to watch for in 2026.

The Best of the Rest
Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best Destinations also revealed the leading places for solo travel, food, culture and honeymoons.
When it comes to solo travel, Dublin, Ireland leads the way, earning the top spot thanks to its rich historical architecture, diverse food scene, walkability and iconic attractions such as the St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle and Jameson Distillery.

Europe is well-represented as a whole, however, with Berlin, Germany and London ranking second and third, respectively, while Madrid, Spain, ranks eighth for solo travel.
London is the world’s number one food destination for 2026, edging out Dubai, Rome, Hong Kong and Paris. In the U.S., New York City takes the top spot for mouth-watering travel, topping Las Vegas, Maui, Orlando and Miami.
Singapore is the world’s top culture destination for 2026, according to Tripadvisor, overtaking Bali, which fell to number 10. London, Krakow, Poland, Paris and Rome round out the top five.
When it comes to celebrating a honeymoon this year, Bali is the leading locale, followed by Mauritius, the Maldives, Saint Lucia and Galle, Sri Lanka. Other favorable destinations for a honeymoon trip include Hue, Vietnam; Napa, California; Positano, Italy; Watamu, Kenya and Antigua.
